The upcoming Aviation and Maritime Education Centre (AMEC) to be commissioned by VTC will adopt this award-winning platform. The VTC United Platform represents far more than technological integration; it signifies a major evolution from traditional BIM applications to a digitally driven, human-centric smart campus ecosystem.

Featuring an integrated Digital Twin system, the platform seamlessly combines Building Information Modelling (BIM), Internet of Things (IoT), Building Management System (BMS), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other cutting-edge technologies to enable intelligent and collaborative operations across all VTC campuses.

Its core functionalities include enhancing teaching experiences, optimising resource allocation, intelligent environmental monitoring, advancing green campus initiatives, enabling seamless system integration, improving navigation services and streamlining operational workflows.

Beyond serving construction and facility management teams, the platform empowers students, teaching staff and visitors with real-time access to campus facilities and learning resources. Through human-centric interactive applications, it fosters a more interactive and efficient campus environment, elevating the experience of all stakeholders and setting a new benchmark for educational facility management and campus operation.

Led by the VTC Estates and Campus Development Office as the overall project and design management director, this award-winning initiative has been strategically planned and delivered in full collaboration.

The AMEC campus development project previously received international recognition in 2025, securing the Gold Award in the Education Facilities category at the Global Future Design Awards. This latest triumph at the HKIBIM Awards further validates VTC’s exceptional standards in campus development and facility management.
